The new black soft top was a great investment, but we all really enjoy it when these Jeeps are open to the world. That's why we love the level of preservation/restoration inside. Nearly everything looks new, including the Rugged Ridge covers on the seats. The front buckets are comfortable on the trail, and when it's time to go out on the town, they combine with newer dash pad and chrome dash plate for a quite sharp package. Under the hood is a 258 cubic-inch inline-six motor that's a long established powerplant for Jeep. It's part of what built the CJ's go-anywhere reputation and continues to have easy parts availability. And this one looks like it has been treated correctly, including a new carb rebuild, new brake master cylinder, and a new hood heat shield. The five-speed manual is great for driving in-town, and when the pavement ends, it works with the two-speed transfer case to feed the seriously beefy axles at both ends. The total effect is a cool impression that feels modern while also recalling the cj's military lineage. The bumpers, mirrors, fender flairs, headlights, and full renegade livery are all rendered in black to enhance this serious attitude. Even the 15-inch american racing wheels were blacked out. And more than just look like a capable machine, take some time to check out the functional upgrades, too. Because owning a jeep is an outdoor experience, this one pays special attention to matching the interior with the exterior. It starts with the bikini top and vinyl seats that coordinate with all the blacked-out elements on the body.
